The Iphone is only one piece of the momentum that is building up. 

Second Piece:
Massive sales by Ericsson and their competitors on high speed networks like 3G and LTE.

Third piece:
mobile broadband enables Netbooks to be used as they were designed.

Fourth piece:
Social media applications(midlets and Symbian) for the cheaper devices are getting better and better
