With a clear directive to create a fresh new look, and functionality that would be the envy of their competitors, THAT Agency created an influential and cutting-edge design. Adhering to a strict discovery and design process of: performing usability studies and conscencous groups, creating details specifications, wireframing functionality and then packaging it all up with a beautiful web design, allowed THAT Agency to leave no stone unturned. Our design efforts paid off, as shortly after the website was launch, The Vanguard Best of the Web Awards, an annual competition that honor extraordinary websites, honored Masonite.com with a “Best Design” accolade for its informative and organized design.
With a massive product database, THAT Agency was tasked to create feature-rich functionalities throughout the new Masonite.com website. With each proposed feature, THAT Agency would research, recommend and implement the appropriate technology, so that Masonite would out do the competition.
The interactive door configurator is comprised of solid flash, using XML and a database to serve up options and configurations. Their customized Product Gallery is built in PHP and AJAX, backed by a MySQL database.
The Inspiration Photo Gallery was created in flash, and built around a custom content management system, which allows for the management of the thumbnails, full sized image, title and short description, including link to find specific product within www.masonite.com.
With a website built on a search engine friendly framework, THAT Agency researched and implemented keyword search trends into Masonite.com using a combination of manual and dynamic optimization techniques. Post-launch, a link development plan was put into action to achieve the desired goal of top rankings for the most often searched, relevant and competitive terms in Masonite’s industry.
